Welcome Message

Welcome to Washington County Fly Fishers

Washington County Fly Fishers (WCFF) is a fly fishing club affiliated with Fly Fishers International (FFI) and is dedicated to “cultivating the art of fly fishing through a spirit of fellowship and resource enhancement” on a local as well as a national basis.

WCFF is incorporated in the state of Oregon as a non-profit organization and is recognized by the IRS as a 501.c.3 organization.  As such, donations to WCFF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by federal tax codes.

Club Meetings:

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month during January, February, March, April, May, June, July, September, October, and November at the Westbrook Club House located at 14255 SW 6th Street (one block east of SW Murray Road) Beaverton, OR  97005.

Meetings include an overview of club activities, a bucket raffle, guest speaker and announcement of club sponsored fishing trips and events.

Special Events:

Fund raising events are held during the year.  Proceeds from fund raising events are the major source of funding for researchers and students enrolled in fisheries programs at educational institutions in Oregon.  In the past 13 years, WCFF provided over $35,000 in grants to researchers and students that have significantly improved our understanding of the ecology and conservation of salmon, steelhead, trout and other species important to Oregonians.

A potluck barbecue is held during August for club members and their guests.

A holiday dinner is held in December for club members and their guests.

Club Outings:

The club sponsors outings most months to provide club members an opportunity to learn more about fishing opportunities in the Northwest.  Members are more than willing to share their experience and knowledge about equipment, flies and fishing techniques.  This is a great opportunity to have fun and become acquainted with club members.

Monthly Newsletter:

The club publishes a monthly newsletter with an update from our President, information about our speaker of the month, club activities and includes a special section on how to tie and fish the fly of the month.

Annual Dues:

Annual dues are $24 ($20 if paid between December 15th and  January 29th).  Dues are prorated on a monthly basis for new members.

We wish you the very best fishing experience,

Chuck Cooney, President
