I attended the Trillium Lake outing on Saturday. There were about 12 club members who joined us. Paul did an outstanding job with the hamburgers and hot dogs. We also had potato salad, some cookies, some mini-cakes baked by someone’s wife, chips, sodas, etc. Great chow. Fishing was fun. I think everyone caught fish… mostly rainbows from 5 – 17 inches. There were a couple reports of Cutbows as well. Fishing was at depth using intermediate lines with wooly buggers in greens, Cary specials, and other assorted flies. Very little surface activity was seen. Water was cold and fairly calm despite some rain and occasional winds up to 20 MPH. A great time for fall fishing in the high Cascades.
